Can't launch anything

On request here is my information:
-OS: Windows 7 64 Bit
-RTW v1.5
-Not using Steam
-Installed at C:\\ProgamFiles(x86)\TheCreativeAssembly\Rome-TotalWar
-Using launcher options: Rome- Total War BI.exe and any faction, campaign, or battles-only doesn't work
-System Specs: Nvidia HD 4600 graphics card
Dual core processer at 2.6GHZ
6GB of RAM
352GB Hard Drive


It keeps crashing to desktop anytime I try to launch a custom or historical battle. Where you should see a loading screen it just CTD and pops up with a message saying "Rome-Total War Barbarian Invasion has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution to the problem." Help would be very much apreciated

You probably need to move your folder out of Program Files.

Best thing would be to uninstall RTW and delete whats left of RS2.
Then, create a folder in C:\ called RS2 (C:\RS2)
Install RTW and BI and patch it up.
Then install RS2 to that folder.
That should stop and problems. Having RS2 in program files is a common problem we have on here
But doing that should cure it.

Also - what have you done with UAC?

The general advice is to turn it off.

I thought you had to go on battles only to play battles and if you just went into a campaign such as rome and tried the battles it wouldnt work?

The other thing to do is to reduce the graphic settings - a game will CTD during the load phase of the battle if you're asking too much.

Don't forget that RTW is an old game and won't make the use of many of the features of graphics cards. Also - experiment with drivers if the most recent one is causing problems.
