Will this mod have custom settlements??? Like the one that will be in TATW http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=385978 ???
This mod will be mega-super-boss!
Funny, I was thinking what the Bulgarian word for flail would be and came up with "kisten", though it may only refer to the ball at the end of the chain. For the common Bulgarian, the word "bozdugan", of undoubtedly Turkish origins, would tend to describe this whole class of weapons. I like "mlat" though - very descriptive and cool.
When it comes to flails, I can imagine Habsburg units with their MorgenSterne and the coolness will defy description, but only if there is a special animation for it. If one is specially created for Tsardoms, everyone will be so jealous!
Yeah in Romanian the word for it is "buzdugan", so seems to be a common word in the Balkan area. Hmm, I thought the morning star is a mace not a flail. Nonetheless, it would be pretty revolutionary for modding to have that flail animation!
Kisten is a Russian word (of Hungarian origin, IIRC?), used mostly by archaeologists here. Indeed, the common word would be "bozdugan", IMO, however inaccurate that may be. Or, as GoodNight said, "topuz", in a more archaic/dialectic fashion. Funnily enough, though, my dictionary gave me this for flail: "I. n цеп, млатило (за ръчно вършеене)", i.e. "mlatilo", but only as an agricultural tool.
Hahaaha the word Buzdovan also evolved to describe someone who is thick, stupid, strongheaded
Koi s' ti buzdovan XD
