Hey guys, any updates on the mod? Anything I could possibly help out with?

unfortunately other than dcdastro recreating the mod folder from scratch we have had no activity. until the mod folder is stable to actually try things out we won't know. hopefully we will have an internal workable version that actually does not crash and is just with bare bones functionality. then we can add in all the scripts and wizz bang stuff back in

I would like to as well, I just wish there was some form of assistance I could lend the team.

Thanks guys. Dcdastro is still working hard on the mod folder refresh process. At the end we should have a clean mod folder without 10 years worth of half-done scripts and errors.

Thank you guys so much. I think everyone prefers to wait a few weeks rather than be frustrated with bugs.. Thank you again for all of your hard work!

It will surely be a lot more than a few weeks that's for sure but dcdastro is making good progress but of course there is also real life going on. Hopefully we can have an internal alpha to test the mod internally for stability in a few months.

Well since all the work dcdastro is doing now involves lines and lines of code the only eye candy we could give you is a picture of some code

Learn. I didn't know how to do anything when I got this game, and now I know how to do quite a bit. Volunteer. Struggle. Figure it out.
There are lots of cool mods that never see the light of day because people don't realize that mods need workers, not watchers, or realize it but continue to watch anyway.

Indeed! Very well put. If only we had more people that understood that and didn't think that coding is just some boring work. The results in the mod are stunning.

Unfortunately, we have a whole host of unfinished scripts from former team members which if were actually finished would have some awesome effects (for example faction conversion scripts, education scripts, noble advancement scripts and so on). But for the moment we will have to keep it fairly vanilla to get to a working version of the mod. Then we can try and develop those scripts.
