    If some geonosan and venetian units will be available to Bulgarians(under specific conditions) probably more units are not needed.
    But if you decide to make new one, pronoiars(2nd pic) or multy role cav(1st pic) are really good idea.

    Hmm, Genoese and Venetian units? As mercenaries, right? Maybe a navy unit...
    For the shield-bearers, helm-bearers etc. - I indeed don't know, that's just what was written by Niketas Choniates about the siege of Thessaloniki in 1207: "...There were bowmen, spearmen, helm-bearers/helm-men, shield-bearers/shieldmen, slingers and all other kinds of soldiers..." For the shieldmen it's rather easy - we just gave them bigger shields that would make their distinction. But for the helm-bearers, I still have no idea.
    About Kavhan Isbul's lack of desire for the inclusion of the crossbowmen - it's understandable, since they were quite rare and didn't have time to spread more (due to the fall of the state, although they did spread and even started being manufactured in Svishtov during the early Ottoman times).

    well, it is consider that bulgaria is allied with venetia or genoa

    Venetian Quarters: (building)

    Bulgarian rulers, realizing the important benefits of trade, have always given protection and special priviliges to merchants from the large trading centers of the Eastern Mediterranean. But even if the Tsar in Turnovo wanted to stop the spread of Venetian influence on his coastline, his lack of a strong fleet renders him pretty helpless against the major maritime power in the area. Continuing the tradition of those before him, Tsar Ivan Alexander granted special trade rights to Venice in 1353.

    With this new alliance in place, Venetian merchants have established a small colony in this town, and are now bringing in their goods. The traders are not the only newcomers - they have been followed by soldiers, who serve for the protection of the valuable cargos. These soldiers would serve whoever pays them, including the Tsar, but the presence of so many foreigners is causing the spread of their faith, making the locals feel uneasy.

    Is it important that Despotate of Dobrudja is the first bulgarian state that had its own navy-even fought for the control of black see trade routs with Genoa(for fighting see country like Genoa you must have good fleet).

    well, it just typical wallachian unit, from wallachian roster. every nation will have mercenary camp, so that they can provide mercenaries from neighbor states. basarab sent wallachian units in aid to bulgarians in battle of velbazhd

    I noticed that in the faction previews the map seems to be smaller in the northern area than the previous maps shown. Am i right about this? I know there's a map preview coming, but couldn't help but ask

    Actually, the Bulgarian navy was first created in the times of Ioan Asen II. Though in Tsardom's times - yes, Dobrotitsa had a rather good navy operating as far as Trebizon/Trapezund.

    well, that map is used only in previews, not really the right map of the mod. it was taken from google maps, and put just to make feeling where is faction going to be, not the real strat map

    phoenix[illusion] will you consider to inclide ottoman mercenaries to Bulgaria and Byzantium - In the 1350s, Emperor Ivan Alexander hired Ottoman bands, as did the Byzantine Emperor.

    As you can see this list is one too many, so what have I got wrong? I remember reading somewhere that Genoa was going to be removed but I don't know If that is still true as Pheonix mentioned that Genoa was in v 0.35 of the mod back in May (though he may have been kidding, or referring to a really old version when Genoa was still in). Could a member of the team please clarify this list for me?

    Also, how will the Duchy of Naxos be represented in the mod?

    The wrong is that the rebel facktions can't be played . So it will be probably Archduchy of Austria , Kingdom of Hungary,Principality of Moldova,Principality of Wallachia,Tsardom of Bulgaria,Tsardom of Serbia,Banate of Bosnia,Byzantine Empire ,Duchy of Athens,Ottoman Empire,Knights of Rhodes,Karamanid Emirate,Republic of Venice,Florence ,Genoa,Kingdom at Naples,Timurids
