ctd after loading campaign

Hey,

Im trying to start a campaign with seleucid. i dont use steam. but when i want to start the campaign it crash after loading it. Any idea how to fix this?

- What version of RTW do you use?
1.5

- Are you using steam or not?
No
- Install path
C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\
but roma surrectum 2 shortcut: C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\launcher

- Which launcher option have you used (exe, faction etc)
RomeTW-ALX.exe, faction seleucid (tried more faction didnt work.)

If you are reporting a game CTD please provide the additional details

- system specifications, CPU, graphics card

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 750 @ 2.67GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.7GHz
Memory: 4096MB RAM

Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GT 240

- graphic options selected (way too many options)
none

So when the loading screen is finished after i want to start the campaign it crash to deskop without any error message. (only RTW stopped working etc.)

I think its because you have RS2 installed to Program Files.

Uninstall RS2, and RTW completely, and delete any traces in that directory.

Then do this:

1) Create a folder in your c drive called RS2 (Effectively, C:\RS2)
2) Install RTW there, BI and Alex, and patch.
3) Install RS2 there.

Give that a shot

I did a lot of reinstalls but always installed it in program files.
I will try this and will let you know if it works.

I hope it works for you, a lot of problems we get are to do with Win7 and program files

ah now i get an error message when i try to startup the game:
Something with scrip error and skeleton read something about it in the forum..

Yeah, sounds like a main problem. Should be under "Known Issues"

hmm i think i did something wrong with the patches. I installed 1.3 now but when i try to install patch 1.5 it keep saying that i need patch 1.3, but im sure i installed 1.3 on the right place.

Make sure you didnt uninstall 1.3.
Install 1.3 again just to double check

ye i have 1.3 but i cant install 1.5 :p

Ok i installed it in a map on my destkop and after that copyd it into my rtw folder. Now evrything works! thanks for your help!
