How can I make battle AI always attack?
I know it's often beneficial to stay on a hill and wait for the other side to come,
but so it's sensible that AI does mostly that, but passive AI is just terribly boring.
(I can compensate AI for this change in hard cash or something else, to keep
game challenging).
What's worse - it often stands back even when it's shot at.
I've been looking everywhere in db/ but I cannot figure out what to change to
get AI to always attack, or at least when it doesn't have a very strong reason not to
(like fixed cannons etc.)?
And a marginally related issue - changing region_turns_to_surrender value for buildings
doesn't seem to have any effect at all. Is this duplicated in startpos.esf or something?

Heh, i found an answer to your question, but this might be a little strange to you...
Change the projectiles range in projectiles_table in db folder in patch.pack file with DB Editor or PFM.
Now i.e the fixed artillery (12 lbs or 24 lbs ) have more than 1 km range...this will force enemy to move their asses and kick your....
Try this, i have different ranges from vanilla and land battles are as realistic and fun as possible...
You must change the pack file to movie one, otherwise the ranges remains vanilla.
