Thureophoroi

What is the point of Thureophoroi? they are weaker than Thorakitai AND have smaller unit size both use pointed sticks (2 to throw at 40m) and i haven't seen any difference in running speeds or stamina. shouldn't the unit size of the Thureophoroi be same as the better unit?

use them to flank enemies during battle. they are not line holder

As far as I can see, they're cheaper and can be recruited earlier than Thorakitai, so you'll find yourself using them in newly conquered areas more than Thorakitai, most likely. Makes sense, since Thureophoroi were a
slightly older form of the same idea. They're not to be sniffed at. You can do alot of good things with Thureophoroi.

Their great hevly peltasts, swing them around the back of an anemy and let the missles fly. The enemy will die by the dozens and break.
