Can't start RS :(

Hey guys thx for trying to help me or at least paying attention! ^^ I've just seen this RS mod and am really excited about all that and just wanted to play it as all is looking just that awesome!

So... Reinstalled RTW Gold Edition (already at 1.5), downloaded all the files and ran the setup, everything succesfully installed. As klicking on the RS-icon also the launcher pops up properly.

But as I try to "Play Roma Surrectum II" after having chosen eg "Sparta" and "RomeTW.exe" there's one - exactly saying 4 error poping-up:

1. Really ready?
Are you really sure you selected the faction you want to play this time?
(Yes -> 2. / No -> Back to Launcher)

2. RS II - error
If you get this error, then you've probably done something wrong. Please report the next three messages.
(Ok)

3. RS II - error 1/3
You don't have Roma Surrectum II installed in the correct folder. (C:\OrogramFiles\Rome - Total War\RSII_Public)
(Ok)

4. RS II - error 2/3
Engine RomeTW.exe, Faction campaign:
(Ok)

5. RS II - error 3/3
In total: 'RomeTW.exe -show_err -nm -movie_cam'
(Ok)

-> Back to launcher

There's absolutely no change, neither i choose battle only, one-turn campaign nor changing to RomeTW-BI.exe (don't have alex).

Firstime I installed RTW to: "C:\Program Files\Rome TW", now for exluding that reason to the path RTW wants to be installed (so without any changes at path). RS is installed exactly into the same folder as shown at the preview-thread after having had it in "C:\Program Files\RS II".

System:
Win 7 Home Premium (running in Bootcamp, but shouldn't be the point)
No Steam (for RTW)
RTW 1.5

I took the files of file...factory? Some like that...

Also tried to run RS as RTW was already running.. no success

Pls try to explain what i'm exactly doing wrong or how to fix it the easy way, i'm not german

(You can use alt+printscreen to take a picture of the active window only ;] )

Also, screenshot of your folder might be useful?

It sounds like the launcher can't find RTW.exe in your RS2 folder.

Have you copied the RS2 files over a clean existing install of RTW?

And finally, have you tried installing it to C:\RS2?

Well i dont know much on the situation but i do know one or two things. It has always been advised that you install the game out of the program files as windows tries to protect those files from editing through the administrator system.

So i would recommend deleting everything reinstall rtw in programs and then copy that whole file on to the desktop and name it RS2 and then install all the updates into that new folder on the desktop.

Thats one place where the problem could be arising from, and even if it doesnt solve the problem i would advise you do this as other problems may be caused from it in the future
