Technical support forum help

Ok we need more people that can "work" in the technical support forum.
I know that Brusilov has spend huge amount's of hours in there and I did the same on the first couple of days.
Thing is we are getting spammed with questions and we need more people to help us solving all the problems.

Also when working in the technical forum try to help the oldest post at first so go back to the start and work your way up from there.
O and it would be good if every user posted in his own thread so that we could close all the ones that has been resolved.

I'll help as much as my abilities/knowledge can take me...for the most part, i've noticed the questions are relatively general/curiosity questions.

You said you wanted the user to post each question in its own thread?...am i reading that right?

All the fan users not all the one that are answering them.
That way we could close each thread once they are resolved.

I think all related bits can go into a single thread. What is related is a bit of trial and error.

There are people that post 'I had similar error to the OP' and then post something completely different. What may happen then is the OPs problem is ignored and the second problem worked on.

Each different problem - especially CTDs should have their own thread.

I'm going through all the old threads and closing up the ones that we have answered, or where people have said 'never mind, it works now' just so that we can keep it clean.

I will give a hand dont know much but know alot of common problems going on from testing so will help a little

A lot of it is simply asking the poster to include a save game (and similar). Also pointing them in the direction of the known issues.....

Yeah many of the errors are listed in the know issues thread.
Read up on that and you should be able to help most people.
I know nothing about most of the errors but I'm still able to solve much of them with the help of that thread, the users, pictures from the users and my own little brain.

Im interested in that Everto guy.. Im sure he's installed it in the wrong place/not patched it, but its looking odd..

I wonder whether it's mainly an issue with admin status? and maybe the launcher won't overwrite files if you don't have that....therefore the launcher won't shut down, you'll also get descr_mount database errors due to the command lines extensions not being added....eg. -modlay_Rome or whatever.

In fact that's clearly the problem.
