    Default Beaten to it?

I am playing the crusades as Antioch the short campaign.

I am turtling along with 102 turns left, the Turks are down to 4 or 5 towns and 3 family members. So there is no rush i think suddenly a get a message at the start of a new turn Byzantium has almost won.

From what i can see they also need to destroy the Turks like Antioch. The Western Turks are almost gone but the Eastern Turks have 3 towns left.

Do i need to worry or is it just the AI being stupid again?

Has the (Venetian?) Crusade arrived and gone ape-poo yet? If not, you can probably afford to wait for them - they will utterly destroy Byzantium and give you a LOT of breathing space.

If they have already come...? Go to war my friend, go to war :-P

well i would say: Go and take those last Turkish places and then pwn the Byzies.
While the Kingdom of Jerusalem keeps Egypt busy you take out Byzantium
And as modog said the Venetian usually take Constantinople and that hit is like the ending of Byzantium (ingame ofc)
