    Default Faerun: Total War

This is a mere proposal but what about dungeons & dragons (forgotten realms) in a total war setting?

I'm not sure how it would work but, a simple faction design

    Dark elves:
    -hand crossbowmen
    -raiders
*-preistesses (i forget the name of the magic mod)
*-wizards (a different type of spell caster)
    -academy masters

    Dwarves:
-heavy axemen (gotta think of a better name)
    **-priest (once again a spellcaster)
    -ale brewers (pikeman maybe?)
    -axe throwers (possible?)
    ***-gut busters (hellz yea)

    * i think the difference between these 2 should be one a sniper type unit and the other an AoE unit
**reading the lore the dwarven priest's powers are pretty unique so (not sure how it would be done) but he would act as a close range AoE guy
***if you haven't read the the dark elf series than you should know that these guys literally use their armor to kill enemies.

so i know this is really complicated (i certainly don't have the skill) and half of the stuff mentioned might not even work but it would be a cool idea

on another note would it be possible to add the underdark with it it looking like a retarded mountain range?

I don't see this working. Nice try though.

The first problem with that is that you can't ( Because I would love to play as the dark elves) use the Underdark, there is no way we can have a underground area, we can only do the surface of Faerun. If someone did that I wonder which faction Drizzt'Do'Urden would be in, probably Clan Battlehammer
If anyone did start this I would be more than willing to help.
My knowledge of the Forgotten Realms is quite limited because I have only read the Drizzt books

I assume that means there is no mod out there based on Forgotten Realms? If so, that is a shame. Forgotten Realms (FR) have more lore than most, if not all, of other fantasy worlds out there. It is too bad that I have no experience in moding this game - would love to see FR adopted into TW.

I would like to see a mod based on the Forgotten Realms world. I believe the reason many propositions dont turn into mods is that people who propose the mods expect others to the the hard work. This is a suggestion that may sound harsh but no offence is intended. I believe that the only mods that came to life are those who were mostly developed by the time they were proposed. You will have to come with something concrete if you want other people to join. I mean, not only ideas but concrete material, like already modelled units or at least unit sketches.

Adriatic TW has all of that, and yet we cant find more much needed members... you have to find people who share your idea, and are wiling to do some actual modding
and when it comes to modding, no one was born with knowledge of it, learn or forget about mod
