Macedon campaign
What OS do you use? windows vista home premium
- What version of RTW do you use? 1.5/1.6? I don't understand the question
- Are you using steam or not? nope
- Install path C-Program Files-Activision-Roma Surrectum 2
- Which launcher option have you used (exe, faction etc) I tried both Bi and RTW, obviously as Macedon
OK basically my problem is, I press the button to play macedon (ingame) and it starts loading up the campaign. But as soon as it gets to the end of the loading bar, the game CTD's on me, with no error message, even though show err is on the target line or properties or whatever it is. This is really frustrating as I wanted a break from Scythia for a little while. Any help is much appreciated, and if this is a common problem sorry I must have missed it when I searched. Thanks

Re: Macedon campaign
It's quite rare to hear that a game CTDs while loading up the campaign.
Do you get to the menu at all or does it CTD before then?
Have you made sure that your Windows is up-to-date?
Also, have a read of the following thread as it has some simple things to do to keep your PC 'in order' - (just follow the links): http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=387184

Re: Macedon campaign
Thanks Brusilov but I think the problem might be either a corrupt install (if that is possible) or maybe the multiplayer patch from Hellhound, because once I reinstalled it works. But thank you anyway

Re: Macedon campaign
OK, what I suggest you do in the future (once you have RSII working again) is to copy it to a new location and then apply any MP patches to that.
That way patches won't mess up your working RSII!
Basically, the approach we suggest for the original 'clean' & working RTW install can be used for the mods you create from it.
While it does mean you use more disc space it does mean you won't 'break' a mod - and lose time playing it by having to reinstall.
Anyway, enjoy.
