Unless you want to fry your laptop, it's a bad idea

With the sudden rise of image quality at the high-highest detail area, and demanding system requirements with decent soldier count on the battlefield, TW is hitting the desktop-exclusive area for sheer majority of customers only willing/able to afford low- and mid-end desktop computers.

Are made to game it wont fry however reading reviews of the machine might help i know a lot of laptops which do fry so your right but some are actually worth the money i would spend a grand if i could game with it for over 1 year if it brakes mean wile i have my job salary to cover the breakage.

Surprise: Hi, the machine is advertised as an 'i3 laptop' yet in the spec it's suggested that the machine has an i5 processor, which is correct?

simon: Not as such. Win 7 Pro has a XP Pro mode so you can change to XP when required.

simon: L650-1CH Core i5-450 (2.4/2.66) L650-167 - Core i5-430 (2.26/2.53GHz) Only differance is processor. the 2nd clock speed refer to turbo boost mode.

I have a laptop of around 600 dollars, and everything is over the recommended settings. Except the processor speed. I don't know about all, but my experience with a laptop is not good with high settings games. The processor speed is crap for laptops, and they are already overclocked as they are maxed out.

I think it's the fact that you are using a $600 laptop....

My Toshiba Qosmio runs everything in high detail, including Crysis and NTW. A bit pricey, but it was well worth it, and gave the same specs as Alienware costing twice as much.

Ram aka memory works to help programs and other streaming work loads to work at faster speeds a decrease in Ram or memory makes your computer slower obviously.

By tech do i know exactly all the nerd stuff about ram then no i do not.

However i do know DDR3 has significant advantages to DDR2 in this case it works faster and release a lot more room for your machine to operate at higher speeds.

And yes i still stand corrected that newer models are made to game so be quite.

Sighs, its not like that you implied that because of the faster memory the PC would be almost as good as a desktop (to a certain point this is true, a i7 720qm is as good as a Q6600) but you gotta see the difference in terms of generation.

And the gpu are in the oh my god so underpowered part. The HD 5870m has the power of the HD 5770.

But anyways, mobility is a go, so buy yourself a envy 15 (HD 5830) and you will be in heaven, or trade the build quality and the great screen for more GPU power with the MSI gx 640 (hd 5850), or go for the still not so good screen but with much more cpu power the gx 660r (5870)
