Problem saving the game.

Hi everyone,

I am currently unable to save my campaigns with my steam install, here's what i've done so far.

- Totally removed RTW gold and the RS1.6 files.
- Installed a fresh RTW gold from steam.
- Downloaded and installed RS 2.0 in a temp directory and copied the files to my steam RTW gold directory on a 2nd harddrive.
- Started the launcher and tweaked settings like bloom and vegetation, then closed the launcher.
- Added -mod:play_Rome -show_err -nm to the startup settings in steam and launched the game.
- Got owned by Hannibal a few times, each time restarting the campaign
- Finding out i couldn't resume the campaign nor save/load it.

I haven't touched any settings other then the graphical one's, nor any scripts, everything is default.
I've changed the startup settings to play as Pergamon which worked fine, but i couldn't safe there either but strangely enough it did autosave in that campaign so i'm a little confused.

Love the mod so far, really outstanding! It was hard for me to get past the launcher with such beautiful music

Where is the game installed?


If you have Vista or 7:
What have you done with UAC?
Saves may be in the 'virtual store' or 'appdata' area. Run %appdata% to see the start of the path and follow it.

I am using Windows 7 idd. As far as i know i haven't done anything with the UAC. Can't find any RTW added directories in appdata or virtual store either.

I just deleted the 'saves' and 'preferences' folders in Rome directory as i noticed the other faction directories didn't have those yet and now i am able to save again, restarted the game twice to make sure but it seems to work. Going to check again now as i think somehow the script is disabled, didn't see the 1 denarii added to the treasury on my last restart.
