    Default unlimited men on the battlefield

    hi all guys!

    Sorry if thi is yet discussed... i used "search" botton but i didn't find nothing:

    if i want to change the preferences file to turn unlimited men on the battlefield on, should I change the one in the folder of every faction?

    I.E. i'm playing as romans... i should change the one in their folder ora some where ele?

    Yes. The idea is to have this set up in the RTW that used used to create the RSII ready folder for the install.

    After the install you have to change them all. If you've not launched a campaign yet then tere won't be a folder or file - it will be created from the one in the top folder (so make sure you change that).

    If you have limited men, then the game decides what that limit is, and if you go over it, any reinforcements will be delayed until enough men have died to accomodate them, and possibly not show up at all if their ally breaks before enough die. Unlimited, and any and all reinforcements show up at once.

    If it's off, and you fight a battle with more than one army on either side (i.e. you/the AI/both get reinforcements), the computer will only allow those troops to turn up IF by doing so, the total number of troops doesn't start to impact negatively on performance (i.e. cause lag) - so assuming your PC can handle X amount of men under the graphics settings you've selected, the total troops on the field will never exceed this.
    Turn ON unlimited men on the battlefield, and the reinforcements usually turn up without a hassle, despite the fact that this may mean a hit in the framerate etc.
