what do you do once you have downloaded do i just simply move the files into my RS2 folder.

sorry for the noob question but just wondering as theres not anything in the first post to advise on where i put things.

Yes, just put it in your RSII folder... and delete the -nm from your launcher, to see the the video...

Thanks for the help they are working now, however should there not be a seperate video for each faction or is it just the same roman video each time? because i opened the sparta and macedonian one and i just get the same roman video each time? is this what is suppose to happen

For the installation of video, I made an installer that makes it easier.
I chose the default path, but it is possible to choose to run the installer the path to your folder Roma Surrectum II.

On the prologue, the film recounts the birth of Rome until the arrival of Hannibal, it works without problem with RTW, BI and ALX.
For now, I have not been able to run the video introduction of factions with BI and ALX ... sorry.

But when you choose "Rome Total War" in the launcher, the videos are played automatically mode campaigns per faction or "One-turn Campaigns".
I hope there is no problem with people who have Vista, Seven or steam. ?!

For me, i can see the video only when i choose the alex.exe.... not working with RTW.exe...

Strange this.

The new video file, is it properly installed in the following directory?! :

For RTW "rome_title" in
Rome - Total War \ data \ fmv

For RTW: Barbarian Invasion "BI_Intro_640x480" in
Rome - Total War \ BI \ data \ fmv
note : this is the same video !

Otherwise, do what you could watch the old video?

So are you saying that the rome intro vid works on all exe.?

and that the other faction intro vids work only on rome.exe?


if what i say up there is right. then mine isnt working as i am running on the rome.exe and only ever see the rome intro vid for each and every faction.

I installed the HI Res on RTW 1.5 (I see there is issues on the BI and ALEX)...I must say, the intro with history of ROME...Fantastic!

I have only checked one campaign so far...the Greek-City States (YES i am insane, and want a challenge of lifetime.)...another great video.

The only difference is you have Hi Res, so going to try doing the Hi Res ones and see if i get any difference

1st - I am running RTW 1.5
2nd - I do as u say have the HD videos.

I ran the installer it came with, and everything fell into place. Which installation process did you use for the full RSII game? I used Bladerunner's.

EDIT: OK beat me up I double posted, I wrote the 1st reply without going through the thread first, cause it was on my mind all night...

Solved the problem well technically speaking there wasnt one except the dumb arse who is behind the screen. i was being very stupid :L
