    Default Balancing?

After the 6.3 update the game does not appear to be very balanced, I was just curious if anyone else has noticed this?

First game as France - Pretty tough, couldn't figure out why everyone was beating me to armor, used all the farms, etc... it was a long struggle, in the end I backed HRE and the Pope ended my life.... very sad but I was glad I finally lost to an AI after so many years.

Second game as England - Stepped up my game, micromanaged everything. Another long fight, was really irritated that everyone was beating me to knights once again. Sacked a French Fortress and he has no farm upgrades but his castle has +25K citizens, WTF????

Third game as Danes - Lets go right after Norway, oh look they get Feudal Men at Arms at the start of the game, what is this about?

Is there a script running that allows the AI to do this, I'm really confused? I'm running the Early Campaign if it's any help, I just really want to understand what is going on. I really enjoy a challenging AI but not one that cheats.

    Sigma,

I think you may have disabled the Real Recruitment on the Setup Installer, sadly this is not working as it should, which will result in the situation where you cannot recruit the necessary units. If you run setup installer again and DO NOT DISABLE RR, you will of course you will be restricted to what you can recruit, but so will the AI

Ahhh okay thank you, I'm not very familiar with this stuff yet. I didn't know what it was so I left it unchecked. Thanks again for your time.

Unchecked is the way you want it. I think anyway...

Either way, make sure RR is on when you play. This should balance the game. If that isn't the problem than I don't know what it could be because I have never run into that problem.

I know that Rebels often start with stronger units than you, but I've never seen the AI get there before me...

if your setting is higher than medieum difficulty, the AI will get significant cash boost and I think maybe population boost as well, I have the same issue where I capture Thorn and it was already a fortress with no land clearance
1180, an unprecedented period of peace and prosperity in East Asia, it's technology and wealth is the envy of the world. But soon conflict will engulf the entire region with great consequences and lasting effects for centuries to come, not just for this region, but the entire known world, when one man, one people, unites.....
