CTD with elephant skeleton!

have installed RTW\ALX-TW correctly and after RS2!
Having set the louncher i chose macedonian faction but appear the window with this phrase:"unable to find skelton fs_s1_forest_elephant_javelinrider"!

can you help me please?

I have the same error.

I have installed Rome Total War, Barbarian Invasion, Patched to 1.6 installed Alexander. Started vanilla game , works normally. Then installed Roma Surrectum II and got the the error as pictured below.

I couldn't find a solution for the missing fs_s1_forest_elephant_javelinrider missing on the stickied issues maybe I'm just being too tired but didn't find it on that thread. I'll try reinstalling Rome TW and RSII tomorrow...

Its mainly due to you not having patched rome total war or the expansion before installing rs2 so uninstall game and install patch then mod

You have to uninstall the game and mod then reinstall rome total war then patch the install rs2

I just reinstalled the entire game + BI and patched it and checked both versions in game to make sure it was working and it did, and installed RS right after that and I still have the missing skeleton.

Perhaps this could somehow be fixed through a small download or such? Or would there be a way to remove this elephant from the game by replacing all versions with different elephants so that it wont ask for it?

Cause tbh, its not worth installing and uninstalling and then patching to different levels to check find out if its going to work.

There sure seem to be a lot of bug reports and I really hope they will be fixed, perhaps by putting up seperate small downloads for the parts that seem to cause most issues, such as the file here.

I fixed mine with installing RS2 into different folder, then installing clean RTW,BI,Alex, then copy/pasting rs2 into my RTW folder

To fix this problem, do the following:

1. You need a clean and patched up version of RTW.
2. Download all the RS2 files, as shown in the release thread.

3. Now, install the RS2 mod to a new folder, created on the desktop. Mine is named Roma Surrectum 2.
4. When the mod has been completly installed, copy and paste the entire contents of the Roma Surrectum 2 folder, located on your desktop, to your freshly installed RTW game. folder.

5. The new launcher that has been created on the desktop doesn't work. This is because it is a shortcut that the installer has directed towards the Roma Surrectum 2 folder located on your desktop, which isn't a game folder. To fix this, right-click the shortcut and change the Target and Start In lines so that both point to your correct RTW folder.

So in my case, "C:\Users\Al Simmons\Desktop\Roma Surrectum 2\Roma Surrectum II.exe"

becomes "D:\Activision\Rome - Total War\launcher\Roma Surrectum II.exe"

etc.

6. If you did everything correct, the launcher on the desktop works. If it doesn't delete it and create a new shortcut from the "Roma Surrectum II.exe" file located in Activision\Rome - Total War\launcher.

Forgive my ignorance but when you say "copy the contents" do you mean open the RS2 folder i have created and copy the contents within to the RTW folder or do I move the WHOLE RS2 folder?

Agreed. I'll give it one more go with the copy&paste method suggested here, but this will be like my forth time completely uninstalling and reinstalling RTW and RS2. So if it doesn't work when I try again I'll just wait for a patch too.
