Default FAILED[Citizen] Incontinenta Buttox (Patron : CrayonVonCaesar)

    Client : Incontinenta Buttox

    Client :
Esteemed members of the CURIA. I would like to submit myself for consideration for citizenship.

I would like to become a citizen so I could make a larger contribution to the evolution of this wonderful site. I log into TWC virtually every day and enjoy the strong sense of community that has grown up around TWC.

I have been an active member of TWC for three years. I am a dedicated player (aren't we all?) of the Total War games ever since I first saw "Rome Total War" featured in "Time Commanders" on the BBC. The Total war series of games, along with two Paradox titles, are now the only games I play.

I am most likely to be found in TWC's hotseat forums where I like to think I am quite well liked and respected. I am surprised and somewhat dismayed that there seem to be no other hotseaters with citizen rank. This is another reason why I want to try for the citizenship as I feel that the hotseat community is one of the jewels of TWC. As a citizen I would strive to advance the development of the hotseat community, to bring new players in and expand this small but close-knit and important part of TWC to its full potential. I also regularly contribute to debates in the political mudpit as I have passionate opinions about UK politics and the current affairs of the world.

I play many mods, although I am not an actual modder myself I do my best to offer feedback or encouragement where it's needed. I regularly participate in giving feedback and improvement suggestions to Dave Scarface's fantastic "Kingdoms Grand campaign Mod", of which I am full of admiration, so I take a keen interest in it's evolution. I think Dave valued the small part I had to play. As a person I hope I combine maturity with humour and this seems to have been appreciated, as I have accumulated a decent amount of rep points. I strive to be helpful and courteous to others who need assistance, and I will step in to calm things down when the occasional argument breaks out in a hotseat thread.

As a citizen I would be very active and participate in debates and votes regularly. I have much to offer to do my bit to help TWC continue to be the amazing place that it is. I have read and understand the terms of service, so I know what would be expected of me.

    Thank you for your consideration!

    Regards,
    Incontinenta Buttox

    Patron : CrayonVonCaesar

    Patron :
I present to you, for Citizenship, a modest gentleman of great standing and repute.
    He is Incontinenta Buttox.

He has been a member since August 2007 and has always shown maturity combined with wit in his posting.
Along with his love of debate he has been learning how to modify his own game and is a enthusiastic player and supporter of the hot seat campaigns.
He has always struck me as a perfect candidate for citizenship and I believe he would be a stable and reliable contributor to the curia and a boon to the site in the future. His long standing and active membership of the TWC speaks volumes for his potential as a future citizen and he will be a worthy addition to our ranks.
I heartily recommend that he become a full participating member of the TWC.

I am happy and proud to be his patron.

Well, if I, Belisarius, the Black Prince, and you all agree on something, I really don't think there can be any further discussion.

Both candidate and patron havent given me much to go on. Would anyone mind if i message the applicant to direct me to some of his contributions?

I dont think he is particularly active in the D & D. Searching for his posts there doesnt turn up much. I think me asking him to be more specific would help his application. Perhaps adding to my suggestion in the CdeC application thread, i could ask his patron for more information? I dont want to rock the boat here so i will await The Curator's input on my suggestion.

As it is, i may find it hard to vote yes.

I have to agree, a PM for some extra info on his contributions might help us. The only thing i see is his involvement in hotseat games, i fail to see what this contributes to the site? What's next grant people who play TW games citizenship because they play the TW games? I will do some more digging but for now i will be voting no.

Right now we have an open poll and very little to go on for citizen contributions other than a cute member name and that he likes to play hot seat competitions. He is a model member that stays within the rules, but that is expected of all members. At this point, I do not think there is really any contributions to support citizenship. I am leaning towards a no, but will wait to cast my vote closer to the polling deadline.

If it is reasonable, I would like the voting and discussion to be extended a bit in the hopes that further information requested by the Curator will help. If not, based on what we have, I will need to vote no.

As I have just returned from being off-line due to weather conditions {no power, etc}, I would like to request an extension in the voting time please. As it stands this application is contested and an extension would allow for a thorough examination of the case.

The applicant is articulate and conversant in British Politics. The applicant also has a deep investment in on site hotseat competitions and posts AAR quality screen shots. Although bringing together the hotseat community is quantifiable that in itself isn't an overwhelming contribution to wards citizenship.

    So to review...

    1. The applicant is articulate and a model citizen who would actively participate in the curia. {Stock just shot up 55 points...}.

    2. The applicant is conversant in British politics and has demonstrated this in the D&D.

    3. The applicant is deeply invested in the TWC hotseat community and is working to wards it's betterment.

Now are there additional considerations to be voiced in regards to the applicant? If not, then the applicant is on the right road but not quite there yet.
At this point I will be voting no unless something substantive comes to light.

This poll will close on September 14, 2010 at 08:50 AM
Unless there is pronounced discussion in the next coming day regarding this applicant, I would see no need to extend the voting period.

Edit III: I'll go ahead and cast my vote in case my internet goes haywire again.

Received a reply from the applicant saying he will get on it last night. Hopefully, he will send something today (sunday) so it will give us till Tuesday to mull it over. I made it clear to patron and client that this is purely optional.
