Probably the Belgae because it's the closest it gets to a real Britannia faction, and I absolutely love Roman period Britannia.
Currently playing a campaign with the cimbri.I'm just at 542AUC so,.it isn't a long campaign.I quite like them.I have a stabil economy, which isn't that big,..but is enough to train armies for conquest and to build all the time, everywhere.
About the cimbri army:In my first battle which was a siege,..I realised that the low tier units like the light spearman or ligth swordsman, are quite weak.Their charge is good, they can be good at flanking, but when they have to fight for mor time in close combat, they aren't good.Expecially their morale. In my first siege an enemy wolf warrior routed 2 light swordsman,1 ligth spearman at once,....and after that even a bear warrior because it kept throwing and decimating my units.
So I imediatly built a high tier baracks in my capital. And now I train better units.
Offcourse I still use light and cheap units,..so I don't kill the economy and to stay a bit historical too,..but in battle I mainly count on the brave naked spearmans and gaesataes(naked fanatics),which are AWESOME when used as shock troops. They are always the first to engage in my first line,...and are very savage. They can easely brake the enemy.I like them very mutch.
EDIT:Visarion,..have you tried your dacians?I fought two custom battle with them,..and they are SUPERB!!!!I also made an experiment:I put 5 traikian rhomphaiophoroi in my first line and put guard mod on.And they were able to hold the line like strong spear units! And then I unleashed them when the enemy started to waver! It was AWESOME!![]()

Well, I haven't played them all yet, but at the present time I'd have to say the Belgae.
The Celtic factions in general are bloody awesome, especially those war cries!![]()
The Romans are awesome, as are Dacia, and Sparta's pretty cool too, but the title of ULTIMATE FAVOURITIST FACTION EVAR!!11 has to go to the Belgae hands down. I love my plucky little Celts.
awesome so many people like belgae. make my ancestors proud

-this is the number one tactic of evolutionist hand waving they close there ears and eyes to any evidence they do not want to here.
My favorite factions are: Dacia because of the units, Pergamon because of the colours, Sparta because they are Spartans and Belgae because they are fierce!![]()
So far I've tried Macedon, Sparta, Free greeks and Avernii... Not decided even among those XD.
Btw: You NEVER read too much Asterix! (off topic i know, but soo true)
Beware of the Moon...
I've played the Cimbri when the mod was still in beta, and I really liked their way of fighting. Quick, powerful charges, lots of flanking, making good use of combined arms (like elites in combination with low tier units with slingers). After a while you will find it fairly easy to defeat a full Roman legion with a nice set of your own warriors. I developed a strategy that focused on speed, and primarily striking at the weak spots of the enemy. Really a fun faction to play as. I'm now playing as Rome, and it's also really good, but I think I enjoyed the Cimbri campaign slightly more.

Cimbri, hiding anywhere is ultimate weapon, if used correctly, and makes me feel like a good general, even if i'm not
Went straight for Rome but I have not tried other factions. I am drawn to the cataphracts of Parthia, though.
Campaigns completed: 1 (RTW Vanilla Julii campaign!)
Mods played: S.P.Q.R., 300 Warlords of Sparta, EB, RTR-PE ExRM, Imperator II(Here), RS, Rome Medieval, X.G.M., IBFD VII, Stainless Steel v6.3 (M2TW), Deus Lo Vult(M2TW)
Mods Currently Playing: TATW(M2TW), RSII, EB
My favourite faction is Parthia. When I finish my current campaign with them, I will start with Carthage or Sparta.
There is only one faction, and it's name is Rome.
Parthia is a lot of fun![]()
Rome, just so I can sit back when I've created the empire as it was in history with a grin on my face.
'Ahh yes an authentic rastaclot weapon, as used by the rastaclot nobles in the court of King Bumbaclot '
Anyone but Rome. Anyone else with me?
On a serious note, I've only ever played Carthage because I've been listening to Dan Carlin's "Punic Nightmares" series of podcasts!
