Everyone in America has always known that New Orleans is a horrible city, it wasn't news to us that there is a huge number of poor people in the city. And other sidecosts are much higher I presume (health insurances etc things which are covered by taxes in Netherlands).

So by that logic, the PAYING of the taxes count too. (Unless you think money just grows on trees)

So at very least, it's a wash. But I would suspect our private healthcare is more effecient, and therefore more cost effective and therefore the mississippians would come out ahead.
