    Default CTD After campaign load finishes (Vista)

    Game runs fine on my laptop but not on my desktop.

    Clean install of R:TW GOLD (BI) installs fully patched to 1.6.
    Game and mod installed to C:\Program Files (x86)\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War
    OS = Vista

    I ran the launcher as administrator, chose Rome and BI as the .exe I want to use. Game loads, I click Rome Campaign using BI. Click start campaign, now this is where it gets weird. The first time I done this after installing, the Rome campaign loaded but under the roman cities were huge green circles with the carthaginian faction symbol in them then a few seconds later CTD. I tried again but this time the game CTDs as soon as the load finishes without the campaign map being visible. I tried again as the Belgae but that campaign too CTDs once the campaign loads.

    When it crashes to desktop there is no error message with a reason as to why it CTD. Just the usual box saying the game has stopped responding.

    Please help! m(_ _)m <-- Me begging, I have been in Japan too long.

    It sounds like a corrupted install best you can do is uninstall and reinstall
    And thanks for actually listening to my fix with admin rights saves me the trouble of explaining it

    Have reinstalled the game one more time and installed the mod into a copy of the original R:TW folder and this time it worked.

    +rep for helping.
