Apparently, dubstep is Garage music rather then House.
Personally I would say a sort of cross between 2-step Garage, Dub and a bit of Dnb for good measure. And I would say it's better suited to being chill out music then club music.
Oh well, who cares:

What God said.
And from trance specifically 90's Italo clubtrance like Datura.
or Age of Love, one of the first, if not the first Trance tune.
As much as I love Psytrance these are more fitting for clubbing.
And if we go to actual house music, I quite like Trentemøller.

A large number of these songs would make me fall asleep on a dancefloor
And since when 'dirty house' is so popular? I mean it is not that great at all.
Miss me yet?
Dirty house? You mean dubstep? That's not really proper dance music in my opinion. And it's been very very popular in Britain over the last 3 years or so, and it's just beginning to spread to America, but I can't vouch for whether it's great or not, because that is personal preference. I didn't like dubstep when I first listened to it, so it can take some getting used to, and there are still some varieties I really hate even now.

Ehhhm:
Wikipedia:
Translaton of sorts:
Dirty house, Dutch, combination of electohouse and latin house with UK garage and grime influence. It is more about dancibility rather than sound quality...

Done, just as well as it hides my shameful, shameful secret.
Sorry for the confusion, but that term "dirty house" seems to have passed me by completely. Well, This sort of music is reasonably popular here in the UK but i've never heard it refered to as dirty house, just as more generalised electro house or garage. I think it's more popular on continental Europe anyway (I hear it alot on French radio), but garage and grime probably takes it's place in the UK.
I don't like it much anyway, so I take your point.
