Game crashes when I right click units in barracks
Whenever I right click the unit descriptions in the barracks, the game crashes.
I don't know what more to say. This is a bug report. If anyone wants more information, please ask for it and I will help you as much as I can.
I'm running RTR Platinum Edition (v1.9 - 14 June 2007) on RTW Gold Edition and I've been playing it from the "standard game" (not Barbarian Invasion).

Re: Game crashes when I right click units in barracks
It`s a known issue. It`s related to some changes between the engines of RTW v1.2 and v1.5. Fixing this would have meant a major revision in RTRPE`s recruiting system. Of course, you can view the units via the recruiting panel and not click them in the building panel. Iirc the only ones that CTD are the skirmishers and cavalry units(those that have the name of a building next to their name in the panel).

Re: Game crashes when I right click units in barracks
Thanks! I discovered that the best way to avoid this crash is not to right click the units in the buildings. :-)
The reason I wanted to check the units was that I was looking for what to build next. I wanted to know the qualities of the new troops which would become available. Since the building wasn't built yet, the units weren't available in the recruitment panel. I can live without it, but it would be nice to be able to have a peek at hitherto unknown auxilary units before you make archery/stables so you don't lose 4 turns in vain. It's difficult enough already to keep up the building pace.
Just a little background so you understand the issue better. If it's not possible to solve, it's no big deal.
P.S. I noticed another way to see what qualities the new troops have. If you go to the recruitment panel for mercenaries, you can generally recruit the same troop types as the auxilia units in that region.
