    Default Startup failure

    Im getting and Error message.

    Autolt Error

    Line 3689 (File "C:/program files/Activison/Rome - Total war/Launcher/Roma Surrectum II.exe")

Error: Variable used without being declared.

How to fix or is it just because i installed it in the Orignal Rome total war folder and not like it was suggestied to be installed in an seperate folder.

Reinstall(O NO!!) or is there an solution.

Thank you very much if you answer and dont call me stupid.

I would suggest rebooting and see whether it happens again. I've occasionally seen that error happen (maybe 2 or 3 times over the last 9 months or however long it is that we've been using the launcher)....and I've launched literally thousands of games.

    Generally it's resolved by rebooting.

For me its crashing whenever I try to launch it.

At first it gave some other errors, because I missed it that that standard direction for the installation is wrong because there is no creative assembly folder, but an activision folder instead so I picked up the rome total war folder created under this new creative assembly folder in program files, and merged it with the rome total war folder in the activision folder.

The game crashes when I try to launch it, it did launch when I selected battles only but it only showed the vanilla factions.

When RTW was first released the publisher was Activision. The install path contains the name of the publisher. So, the early versions contained 'Activision' and the remaining versions had 'The Creative Assembly'.

My previous system had RTW installed from the original tree CD-ROM game so the path was 'Activision' and not 'The Creative Assembly'.

Given that the instructions were to install over a working RTW I had hoped that the people installing the game would know where their RTW install was. After all it could be "D:\MyGames".

If you only see the vanilla factions then the install did not work.
