what do i have to install to make the movies run correctly
i installed mediaplayer 9 code, mediaplayer 10. direct x i did everythign game required me to do
but it still lags like crazy every intro, every ingame movie
how do i fix it?
any idea guys?

must be the grapic card
but what the heck its only the intro, the game doesnt lagg so I dont really care.

It's the RAM. Definately. I've the same problem, so I'm getting a second RAM stick this Christmas.

well i think he ment movies that apear when you defeat someone and those wonder movies too... and i dont think that ram can do much about it

no it isnt a RAM problem. i have plenty of fast RAM. it seems to be bad on some PC's, and yet good on others. as far as i know, its an unresolved issue that CA need to address.

i had exactly the same problem and i think you should use a better program for playing movies, i got one called power dvd by cyberlink you can get a 30 day free trial on there website

no i am not talking about custom battle replays
i am talkign about the intro movie, the wonders, or destroyed factions.
all the movies in the game basically.
and no it is most unprobable that it is caused by lack of ram.
and as mentioned above... it works perfectly fine on some pcs and horribly on others.
anybody know how to resolve this?

Yes, it's because your comp is trying to play the movie using [inser your default .fmv player here] and Rome:Total War at the same time. I figured RAM was the problem, unless I'm terribly mistaken, which, many seem to think I am.

i had the same problem with both movies and audio runinning slow and slurring it was the graphics card i installed a pnc nvidia series 6 and everything works fine also the general looks of the game is a hundered times better
