Why do we care so much?

I have followed the forums for awhile and often see threads go way off base from their original intent. The common theme is our real world debates creep into Middle Earth some debates get quite heated. Each of us has our own perception of ME and we participate because we cherish those perceptions and get bent when someone else's perception is at odds with our own.

I personally love ME for the Good vs Evil battle simple and direct pick your side. Afew grey areas exist but even grey areas can be traced back to the Actions of evil forces. I find it comforting coming from a world where we never seem to know for sure the what is right and what is wrong.

I donno but I know what is good and what is bad. I am indeed lucky that we dont have orcs running arround at our houses trying to burn them down... and a Sauron who is trying to control the whole world... okay, atleast we got those rings which bind us to their master... (wedding rings...).

I just cant help but laugh at how badly Mordor would fail to take out the world today considerig the fact that a regiment that was supported by artillery and air support would probably be able to take out the orcs of mordor, so I wouldn't be concerned if there were orcs trying to burn down my house, i'd shoot them with like .303 or considering they're orcs .22 rimfire

Sauron would just cause divisions between people (like he did with Harad vs Gondor and Rhun vs Dale) in RL world.
After WW3 ends, Sauron would rebuild the world into a single nation with himself as the immortal ruler/god.

Won't even need weak Orcs.
