Default Help with 1920x1080 60Hz screen

    Hey guys,

    Since a couple of months I have a computer with a screen size of 1920 x 1080 - 60Hz
As everyone knows, the resolution of RTW and RTW mods is adaptable.
So I raise my resolution to fit the screen.

The result is an amazingly beautifull campaign map, but hideous graphics for everything else.
I can almost see the pixels popping out of my screen. This creates such a huge contrast between the map and the unit cards, faction members and so on.

I believe the problem is that the highest res of RTW is 1920x1080 -32 is?
Is this possible? If not, what is the problem then?

This is really annoying because I don't want to buy a less performant screen just to be able to play RTW properly...

    Thoughts?

I use Windows 7 Hime premium 64 bit edition, a pair of GTX295s in SLI and a Dell 3008WFP screen.

Post a screen that shows how bad your screens look like - otherwise we're just guessing at what you mean.

Well it kinda looks like your screenshot.
The unit and structure cards or pixelized and everything on the campaign map is beatiful.
The unit cards don't bother me too much, but the structures do, really.

When I set my resolution back to 1230 or whatever the lowest is (with x32) it bothers me less because then none of the graphics look too fancy and it fits better as a whole...

I guess the RTW staff just didn't think of adjusting anything else than the campaign map to add more details to a bigger resolution.

Also how did you make your screen shot so large?

Compared to that it looks bad imo; your screenshot looks good.
Probably you have a smaller screen?

As posted I have a Dell 3008WFP screen (30" widescreen monitor) and I play at 2560x1600 resolution - which is the native resolution of the screen.

I had / have the same problem as you do.

I don't think there is any fix to it, you just have to lower your resolution to 1024x768 and then everything will look fine.

It's not the size of the screen that matters it's the resolution.
All cards are made in the same resolution as the RTW ones. RTW wasn't made for high res screens. Heck they weren't use by the time RTW was released.
The only thing you could do is to lover your Resolution.
    BTW I play in 2560x1440.
