Default Barbarian Warlords kill 15.000 roman troops

Haha I just had the sweetest auto-resolve experience
My germanic kingdom was conquored by the dacians and the gauls and I had just one settlement left.
In this settlement I had 7 family members and no supporting troops - 300 men in all(totally random, but nice!)

Following the next 40 turns or so I was under constant attack from the romans(Brutii).
My 300 warriors killed 15.000 romans and 2.500 gauls and I didn't retrain them once - generals are auto-retrained.

Just had to share this epicness with ya

Its funny how you site troops casualties. "My barbarians killed 15.000 Romans and 2.500 Gauls...

To most, ordinary people, this means your Barbarian Warlords killed 17.5 troops. Amazing achievement.... I wonder who the half soldier was.

I remember the '.' being used for large numbers, whereas the ',' is being used for small decimals and stuff. Thise two are used differently in Europe and the US...

But on-topic, you played as the Germans and you let *snort* Dacia overthrow you? But in RTW, generals are tanks, and deadly in siege defenses, really. Sounds like '300' much =P

Nah Dacia took two provinces in the eastern part of my empire. Britannia kept me bussy while Gaul took the rest.
It only happened because I was watching tv and wasn't focused on the game :S

Yeah I know they are overpowered, but I never exploit game mechanics like that - I allways try to play with a degree of realism

Im guessing you're from the UK? Well nobody uses decimal points for numbers like 15,000. They use commas, even in the UK.

I am dutch and we use a dot for large numbers and a comma for prices.

    EG Warhammer 40.000 and $ 4,99

    40.000 means 40 that's maths. 40,000 means 40000.

Wow, how boring must somebody be to make this thread about decimal points vs. commas?

Awesome story, I'm sure those were some fun battles.

This reminds me of the good old days where I gathered up a full stack of 20 family members in BI as the Franks. Slaughterfest ftw.(not to mention the epic looking golden chevrons on paladins)

Haha I never do those things, it was only because everything was lost anyway and to be honest I just wanted to die and lose the game but those generals didn't agree with me

All this is a good example of when working with foreign companies, you are told to use a space as a seperator.
    Example: 15 000.005

Also funny, is how reading this thread, you can tell those who never been to a foreign country before. Or at least go abroad in varied countries.
Smilies...the resort of those with a vacuous argument
