    Default Trajan's (SigniferOne's Animations With RTR 6.3) Mini-Mod Released!

    - Trajan's (SigniferOne's Animations With RTR 6.3) Mini-Mod -

    Author: Trajan(TWC) or Samurai121(RTR.org)

This mini-mod allows you to play a clean copy of RTR 6.3 with SigniferOne's Animation Pack 0.71.

    - Special thanks go to SigniferOne for making a fanastic animation pack, the RTR team for the amazing job in making RTR 6.3, and to {H0sPiTalLeR} for his amazing Unit speed Modifiers mod.

    Description:
    Brand new hoplite animations

    Historically accurate Roman legionary animations
    - no wild cheering for Romans during startup
    - proper relaxed standing animations
    - during a fight, holding the shield close and the gladius ready next to it
    - stabbing fighting style with the gladius, no slashing

    Historically accurate barbarian fighting animations
    - no thrust for barbarians, only big slashes, as their swords were not designed for thrusts and even had blunt points

    Proper archer firing animations
    - aiming to the sky rather than horizontally, and drawing the bow with full power

    Better horse archer firing animations
    - when aiming, holding the bow vertically rather than horizontally, and drawing the bow with full power

    New elephant javelinmen animations
    - Now the javelinmen can stand on elephants and shoot javelins

    New varying animal speed skeletons
    - light elephant skeleton, heavy horse skeleton, light camel skeleton

    General fixes:
    - all vanilla fs_swordsman units have been fixed in the way they hold their swords, from the original awkward way to a more natural one

Installation (This Will Only Work If You Install On a Clean Copy of RTR 6.3):

    - Make sure you have a clean copy of Rome Total War patched to 1.2.

    - Install Rome Total Realism 6.0 to your Rome Total War directory.

    - Install the Rome Total Realism 6.2 patch

    - Install the Rome Total Realism 6.3 patch

    - Make backups of the following files: descr_model_battle.txt, export_descr_unit.txt, descr_battle_map_movement_modifiers, and animation folder.

    - Copy the Data folder located in Trajan's (SigniferOne's Animations With RTR 6.3) Mini-Mod folder and paste it in your Rome Total War directory. When asked to overwrite, click yes to all.

    - Play

    Notes:

    - I have tested this many times with a clean copy of RTR 6.3 and it's guaranteed to work without any CTDs.

    - This will work for sure with a clean copy of RTR 6.3 but I will not be held responsible for any CTDs or bugs caused by any other mods you installed after installing mine or by any custom modifications you do yourself.

    - If any modders wants to include my mod to theirs, please ask permission first and I will most definitely agree.

    - I have balanced out the hoplites so they should be more effective in battle. Let me know if you still think they're weak or are too over powered.

    - I have included {H0sPiTalLeR}'s Unit speed Modifiers mod to fix the super fast unit speeds and to give a more realistic unit speed movement.

    Enjoy!!!

Please let me know how everything works out.

Here's a patch that returns the original hoplite animation and stats for those that want it:

That's something I can't do. You're better off asking a skinner for that.
