Cant Save My Game?

So I started my Roman Campaign and have been playing a hour but I just noticed that the Save and load game in the Menu are greyed out Anyone know why this is happening? Thanks

The problem with Save/Load options staying grayed out seems to occur when you start a new campaign, then exit back to the main menu and start another new campaign. Restart the program as a work-around.

i had the exact same problem yesterday! what worked for me was, when the advisor pops up telling you the year, click the advisor (not the X)! after that i was able to save ....

From, the RTR fora, try both please.
