Direct x9

I have just reinstalled Rome total war and installed Roma Surrectum 2 into the RTW folder, but when i run the game it says I need direct x9 to play the game, I thought it installed when you installed Rome total war, do I need to install Direct x9, and if I do where would I?

I installed it and tried to run the game and it still said i needed direct x9, so I looked what version of direct x i have, and it says i have direct x11, so how would the game not be running.

Try to run it in XP SP3 compatibility, there may be a problem of backward compatibility with dx11?

Right-click on the RTW.exe, select properties, and go to the compatibility tab. There select XP SP3, and apply.
Then test if it works.

I only have XP SP2, but not 3

Same problem but only when activating bloom effect. Note i dont have an external graphic card but the bloom you use has worked on my system before from another game.

I had the same problem after using the bloom effect.....(Any way it does not work in any other game for me.....He He He He..!!!!!!!!!) Bt please someone help us......!!!!!!!!!
