who to destroy next?

i'm playing as the Julii, have conquered all of Gaul, taken Palma, and have gotten the Marian reform. The Seleucid and the Carthaginians have also been destroyed. I have an alliance w/ Spain and Britannia, should i turn on Spain, conquer Greece, or go North and take out Germania and Dacia?

personally i would take out spain. they are on a penisula and thus very open to a strong thrust from an army, exspecially a post-marius roman army. Because the spaniards are on a peninsula they are easy to take on without having to worry about neighboring factions. Also if you push north you will probably end up fighting both the gremans and britons. this is hard because you have to hold your border against germania while you invade england or hold samarobriva against the british while you finish off germania. usually i wait until i have 2 good generals and can outfit them porperly to take on northern europe.

i would attack spain spain offers much more economic opportunity than brittania germany or dacia However greece is equally as good however it dpends where your strongest forces are located

my only modern (post marian) army is still under construction in Italy
i'll probably use a couple of early armies to start the fight, and then transport my modern one by ship to the peninsula.

Go for northern europe, alliey with Dacia, destroy greece=wonders of world, watch alliance with spain and briton. Brtish are a bunch of stab in the backs

I have been paying for two years and cocured the world 3 times. Go north, watch the British because they always stab me in the back. Dacia is a key ally so become allies with them but then send thousands into Germany and crush them. Also watch your aliiance with spain, they can be picky

I would keep commerce with greece and germania and crush spanish. after, take out greece. if you keep strong troops on the borders, germania and britania won't bother you... they did not bother me.

I think it would be best if u attacked Greece, ull be rich.

I'd rather go for Italy and Sicily, almost as rich as Greece but far easier to defend. Just drop some forts in the Alps and you'll be quite safe from barbarian invasions. If you invade Greece, you will most likely get into trouble with both the Greek Cities and Macedonia. After defeating those two, you'll get trouble with your undefendable northern border and the Seleucids/Ptolemies will attack you.

I'd personally go for Spain. They always make me give up on my Julii campaign cos they are evil and vicious and unbeatable. Also, they get large armies instantly so take them out before they become powerful!

Although you are right in most cases, there are some ways for Greece to rise. In most cases, it needs influence from third parties, e.g. bashing Macedon or supporting the Greeks or Thracians to bash Macedon.

it probably defends on what difficulty you have the game at in my game thracia has like conquered everything up north i took greece and now get 7000 a turn at athens and have 900,000 denarii and have just had marius event but anyways the best thing to do is to take greece mainland around the coast, take kydonia and other settlement on crete and rhodes so you get more economy and then rake in the money and then build up huge armies and march east and take out the ptolemies
