Peace?

This was just interesting... I have played to turn 65 now. I am England and have lands in the Mediterranean, Africa, and the Middle East (inc. Jerusalem). Not a single war amongst Catholic factions has taken place, nor of Muslims against Muslims or Orthodox against Orthodox. The only wars have been against Pagans or through Crusades/Jihads.

It's been interesting to see religious machines rule my game... These "machines" have also kept the Byzantines rather in their place. No blobbing of any sort has taken place. I am allied with every catholic faction except Denmark.

I am waiting for one war amongst Christians to break out and divide all factions, but that hasn't happened all game... I have begun the process of assassinating the Scottish Nobles in order to set them apart from our... flock. Meanwhile the main body of my armies are in the Holy Lands with dozens of holy Cardinals and Bishops bringing the heathens into God's light.

I have also made sizable amounts of monies with which to purchase most of the lands belonging to France and Aragon. I had previously traded several Middle Eastern cities to the French for some of their lands, which has proven me the smart trader since the French could not hold their lands against the combined Jihad forces of Islam...

I am using SavageAI. The HRE has declared war on Genoa therefore severing several treaties. The French are increasingly moving their troops into their old territories (which they sold to me). I have assassinated all but the king of Scotland and revolts constantly grief the Scottish territories.

I am unsure what will happen. I chose to continue my alliance with Genoa. Most of the Church is also held by English Cardinals. The Pope is also English. Bwahahaha. I have spent 500k on buying territories from other factions, including from the Turks.

I have a good amount of settlements (mostly bought). I don't want to win so soon. I want to take the entire world which means keeping France alive... Ugh...

"ugh" AGREED! Well, I think number is 50, but you also need certain settlements, so make sure the norwegians and danes don't try to steal scotland, otherwise you will have a pain in the back door again
