i have a question i didnt see the answer to quickly looking through the OP, how do you set it to 0 turn recruitment? the defult seems to be 1 turn recruitment.

No it's the other way around, if you select a faction from the launcher menu then once you enter the game then you can only play as that faction and the recruitment is set to zero waiting time.

If you select the 1 turn recruitment mode in the launcher then when you enter the game the menu is more like the original RTW where you get to pick which faction you want to play and the recruitment is the standard times.

hmm, zero turn recruitment means that when i select the unit to be recruited it is recruited then or when i close the units window thing right? I've never played a mod with one, so im not sure...

First time I have played with 0 turn recruitment, what it does is you can que as many units as you can up to filling the recruitment bar, and then they are all recruited in that single turn (after you end turn).

for example:
at first I made a new folder, I called it RSII on my desktop.
2nd Step is to install the game into it.
So and then I have to paste the new RSII folder where the files are in to my : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\rome total war gold
folder ?

so its called C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\rome total war gold\RSII

and then? I made it with -mod:rome blabla, but when I startet the game with the launcher, it tells me that I made something wrong..that I didn't install the game to the correct Steam path

help fast pls..

Don't be impatient. It takes a while to go through all the posts.

If it's raised there and resolved then other can benefit from it - if you bury problems in the release thread then the only person that will benefit will be you and that's selfish.

In the opening post it says this:

We suggest that you copy it to a location other than C:\Program Files (x86) as this is a protected folder with Windows Vista and 7. We also recommend turning off User Account Control (UAC).

It looks like you maybe didn't see this part and installed it into C:\Program Files (x86)
I can't tell you really what this means as i'm no computer wizz, but try installing it into a different folder and see if that works

EDIT: Actually you're on steam so i don't think this applies. IGNORE ME!

So open your folder (the one you named RSII) and drag all the files inside it to your C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\rome total war gold folder and allow the files to write over the vanilla ones when asked.

can the bloom effects be used with steam too? because with steam I'm not able to play with the launcher, only with the alexander starter.

Start the launcher and choose your bloom setting, then quit the launcher and start the game trough steam.

Hey guys, 1st big Fan! I am loving this new game, cause really that's what it is. I do have an issue, but I am not sure how to relay it effectively. I am playing as the Romans and I am in the year 618. I am fighting repeated attacks from the Gauls but I am pushing into Greece. The problem occurs when I hit the next turn, everyone cycles through but when it gets to the free people it crashes. I am using windows vista on a Toshiba. Below are the system specs. Whenever I try to change the version of Rome to Alexander in the launcher, I get an error message that says, could not write to launcher... 12! What is that?

YOu shouldn't copy the folder just the content inside it.
So open your folder (the one you named RSII) and drag all the files inside it to your C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\rome total war gold folder and allow the files to write over the vanilla ones when asked.

had some problem with the download(was missing 1 MB in file number 2 -.-) but now it should be fine
