What is the problem about flooding? It happens all the time! (Still looking for the secret message within this thread)?
From the pride and arrogance of the Romans nothing is sacred. But the vindictive gods are now at hand. On this spot we must either conquer, or die with glory (Boudiccas Speech, Tacitus, Annals, XIV, 35)

Goscinio, don't feel bad about it. I never remembered the "Espionage in Carthage" event shortly after the beginning of the campaign and brought it up in Rome total realism IRC chat as somethin special I had just encountered...it really was my bad

    Wow man, some bump...

Alright, here is how. Go do your RTW or BI folder, and go to Data/World/Maps/Base and in it go to Descr_disasters in it raise the frequency of any of the events you want to see more.

I don't think that file does anything.

For a test add anything you want in that file (garbage, whatever...).
Delete map.rwn just to be sure.
    Start campaign using -show_err option.

And guess what no error message of any kind. Like game does not use that file at all.

Well, the natural disasters I have met until now - earthquake, volcano, flood, storm, plauge... I think that's all. Did I miss anyone?

They have locusts? The gods must be angry for that to happen. I wonder what the Romans thought when locusts came?

Never seen locusts...I remember hearing once that there was a disaster that was effectively disabled because it required the afflicted area be dense forest and deep water. Which is impossible...

Nah, that is this one called horde...

    Code:
    event horde
    frequency	10
    winter false
    summer false
    warning false
    region the sea
    climate temperate_forest_deep
    min_scale	2
    max_scale	5
So that one doesn't work. Don't know what it did. Same code in BI and RTW.

Locusts in the RTW campaign on the other hand...

    Code:
    event locusts
    frequency	30
    winter false
    summer false
    warning false
    climate sandy_desert
    climate rocky_desert
    climate semi_arid
    min_scale	2
    max_scale	5
    Are perfectly fine.
Though in the BI campaign, they have a frequency of 0, because CA decided that you shouldn't have locusts in the BI period.

EDIT: Dustbowl also has a frequency of 0 in the BI campaign.

I think he really want to know if it is the gods fault that this happend, like; he havent build enough temples to neptune and then hes a tsunami comes over rome!
You have a certain mentality, a "you vs them" and i know it is hard to see, but it is only your imagination which makes up enemies everywhere. I haven't professed anything but being neutral so why Do you feel the need to defend yourself from me?. Truly What are you defending? when there is nobody attacking?

Nah, I put the gods thingy in as a joke, I know the game isn't that sophisticated. Anyway, was a long time ago, and it was the first ( and still the only, although I haven't played a lot of RTW lately ) time I had flood as a disaster, and I thought it was something special, which obviously it isn't

As a mather of fact, the only disasters I've had are the plague, storm, flood and the Etna erupting. Never, not even once, have I got an earthquake,a dustbowl or a locust...

woot! I've never seen any disasters except mount etna erupting, plague in macedon and storms that destroy fleets.

I've never encountered any earthquakes, floods, dustbowls nor locusts in any of my campaigns...

    I'd love seeing some screenshots!
