    Default About Capitals?

I have a question about capitals of the Great Seljuks, the Sultanate of Rūm and the Almoravid Dynasty.

During Malik Shah I era, capital was moved from Rayy to Isfahan but date is unknown, which city will be capital of the Great Seljuks?

In 1076, since Suleiman Shah era, capital of Sultanate of Rūm was Konya (Iconium) and in 1080 capital was İznik (Nicaea), but recapturing of İznik by the Romans during the First Crusade was forced Kilij Arslan I to making capital Konya again. So what will be the capital of Rūm, Iconium or Nicaea?

And a last question about the Muslimun Al-Gharb, Marrakech or Cordoba? Between 1062-1147, their capital was Marrakech (in North-west Africa, modern day Morocco) but somehow, in vanilla game their capital was Cordoba.

I just wonder these details. Thanks for the answers dear DotS team...

(I know, all my DotS threads about Muslim factions but do not take me wrong, I just want to some help you with Muslim factions and wonder how will they are in the mod. Thanks for your comprehension.)

    My best regards.

I'm not sure we've decided these but I'd say:

İznik for the Sultanate of Rūm.

    Marrakech for the Almoravids.

    Probably Isfahan for the Seljuks.

We go with 1080 for most aspects of the map. When a date is totally uncertain we go with what it was later because that makes sense for more of the time period.

Well, in our game they don't even start with any provinces in Al-Andalus. Yusuf ibn Tashifun didn't enter until 1085, as far as I know.

But many maps shows Al-Andalus in Almoravid rule. And as a result, there will be three Iberian factions in the mod (Castile & Leon, Portugal and Aragon), so they will quickly seize whole of southern Spain and there is one Muslim faction in the west, how can they resist it? I think for balance, southern Iberia must be in Almoravid rule, if historical accuracy allows it.

But you have historical researchers, and I know they've got a lot of information than me and I believe they will do their work fastidiously.

Correct me if i'm wrong, please.

Sorry for flood, but I noticed a thing.

    Almoravids in 1080:

Almoravids in 1087, first capturing in Iberia:

In Centennia (Historical Atlas Program), since 1080, Almoravids have only North-western African shores, but there are Umayyads (actually taifas) in the southern Iberia. So you're right, it's my bad.
