Issues with installed music

I am having issues with some of the music I installed in SS 6.3. I took out the intro songs from (6.3-data-sounds-music folder) and put others in its place. The first one will play well the first time, but after I close out the game, the song disappears from said folder. The other two never play. I tried to rename them to match up with what was already in there, but that did not make a difference. What am I doing wrong? How can I get it to scroll between songs and keep all the songs I put in there without erasing the first one? I searched the forums and found nothing which is why I ask this way, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Imho your title is a bit missleading as you have issues replacing the installed music.

I renamed the music files that I wanted to match exactly what the originals were named and overwrote the original files. Worked like a charm, no problems.
