    Default kamikaze unit

    I'm trying to create a kamikaze unit that fires a projectile like an explosion at very close range when entering a battle with an enemy. But through attempts I have been unsuccessful, is it possible?

    Reduce range on byzantium fire units so they burn themselves alive?

    its an explosion im after, i added the cannon artillery fire thing for a primary weapon. But they didnt shoot, just stood there

    I really have no idea what u are trying to achieve or if it's even possible but i have to say u have some insight which i haven't seen in here and that's the kinds of thing that will one day surprise us like a new invention or something.

    Yes, edit the projectiles and give the bomb the same effects as, say, an explosive Culverin or rocket shot.

    I've tried making suicide bomber units too, somewhat halfheartedly I must admit, and the closest I got was a unit which throws bombs at a very short range and takes perhaps a couple of their own soldiers with the enemy. Unfortunately they were only effective when on defense and didn't kill very many of their own people to actually warrant a "suicide bomber" title. Perhaps you can shorten/replace the attack animation with something else which lets them shoot immediately, and set the range to something extremely short? I haven't dabbled further than that myself.

    Can't you make a unit with an exploding missile projectile and give it a ridiculous short range of 5cm?

    Edit: didn't check the first post - what didn't work? Unit didn't attack, unit attacked with secondary weapon?

    We can completely remove the secondary weapon from the model if that's the barrier. But i think we have to create a complete new set of projectile for it.

    ive tried it out and the unit now has grenades ive tweaked the power, range, radius and mass and they can now destroy a unit of units with 10 hit points.
    Ive just got to make it so they blow themselves up and the enemy. The only thing stopping me is when they enter melee only a couple of the units throw their grenades. but when they do units go flying so its a start.
    is there a way to make sure they act as a missile unit in combat?

    Use a model that uses missiles (or grenades), then use the EDU entries for it. That would be my bet.
