    Default Musketeers causing the game to crash

    Hi all,

    Whenever I start a game (custom battle for example), and there are Musketeers in the battle, the game crashes to the desktop.

    I have the formatted battle_models.modeldb file, but I have not edited the musketeers.

    Is there a solution to this? I have looked over the musketeers entry in the modeldb file but I can't seem to see what is wrong.

    Wrong place to ask this buba. I have reported your post and shortly it will be moved to the mod workshop.
    Anyways in the mean while upload your log file and see what's wrong.

    If u haven't edited them at all then it's ok form the BMDB side.

    What i asked from you was the log file coz i think it's a error in projectiles or the EDU file. Have you modded them?

    What's the EDU file?

    I haven't edited projectiles. I am using the Bare Kingdoms mod template though. Arquebusiers and other units like the Musketeer work without any problems. It's only the Musketeer that isn't working.

    And why are u not submitting the log here. Do u know what a log file is?

    And
    Arquebusiers and other units like the Musketeer work without any problems. It's only the Musketeer that isn't working.
    Is a typo mistake right?

    No not a typo, just badly explained... The arquebusiers and units LIKE the musketeer (but not the musketeer itself) work fine.

    The log just says: 'Uh oh! Something went wrong. No idea what, but shutting down. Sorry pal.'

    Nope... Still not working I'm afraid.

    What else could be causing the game to crash other than a faulty modeldb entry?

    The log file isn't giving me any info at all other than the above mentioned. I seem to recall that there is some way to set it to 'trace' or something to get more info. How do I do that?

    But this is only one unit causing the game to crash. Everything works completely fine EXCEPT when there is a musketeers unit in the battle.

    Haven't had a complaint regarding Bare Kingdoms since I uploaded it. If it was a formatting error in the modeldb you would have a crash at game start. I will download the log and have a look.

    Edit:
    Tried all three of my compressing programs, all of them came back with an error. 200MB is a bit much for a log file, but then the custom battle files create that.
    My suggestion: create a custom battle with only that unit in one side. Check if the log has a newer date (obviously need to check before the battle). Compress again and upload again.

    Here's a new log file. It's much smaller. I made a Custom Battle with 1 unit of Musketeers vs. 1 unit of Peasants. The game crashed as usual because there were Musketeers present.

    Something seems to be wrong with whatever compressing program you are using. I am using WinZIP, WinRAR and 7ZIP and all of them are giving me an error when trying to extract the file.
    Try 7ZIP, it is free.
