Changing Unit Sizes

I know this question has been asked before, but I'm wondering if you really can do it without crashing your game, since I tried changing it in export_descr_unit, and Rome crashed upon opening. Luckily, I had a backup and only changed 1 number, but still, I would like to know if it is possible, since in various RTW movies on YouTube, there are a lot of times where 1 man is running around all by himself with no other men following him, like in this vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOyDwweGa5Y (skip to around 1:42 to see what I am talking about).

he just made 1 unit and called it Hector, Achilles,
