    Default Has the way that infantry charge been changed?

    I was just wondering if the way infantry units charge has been changed? My infantry always keep the standard running animation when moving towards an enemy to attack, and enter the charging animation when they're about 10 or so feet from the enemy. Also, they all stay bunched up during the fight(but that's probably better). I remember in vanilla when i ordered my infantry to charge they entered the animation much earlier than they do in SS, and used to fight spread out. Not problematic, but was just wondering if the mod changed them. SS 6.3, permanent watchtowers, savage AI and FTT 3.1 enabled(early era) if any of that info might be needed. Thanks!

    AFAIK, SS changes charge distances. It is most obvious with cavalry. Cavalry carrying swords, axes and spears have short charge distance assuming that they take lesser time to lower the weapon and point it out towards the target.than heavier lances (European Knight Lances).
    Shortened inf. charge distances are better IMO.

    Ah, i see. Thanks for the replies! Is there an way to change the charge distances without causing CTDs, bugs, etc.?

    Change the stat_charge_distance in the EDU.
