installation woes

its been a while since i have been on rome, so i wanna play it again.
But when i click install on the disk, it loads and prompts "are you sure you want to completely remove rome total war etc" i click ok and then it says
" Error 1316.A network error occurred while attempting to read the file C:\Windows\Installer\Rome - Total War(TM).msi" and wont let me continue the installation
whats going on?

What are you trying to install from? Is it an official game disc?

ahh, i had to do that with kingdoms because it wouldnt install, ill give that a try and if it doesnt work its probably the disk

it hasnt worked, the registry was already cleared. the disk must be knackered Is there a way to install it without the installer?

still does not work , its either something wrong with the files on the disk or my computer. Thanks for the help anyway

If you can, try the disc in another computer just eliminate it as a possibility.
