There is this tutorial here for changing battle models into Stratmap models if it is of any use to you.

I already know this, but what I want to know is about scripting and adding new ones from scratch.

You would most likely have to modify an existing one.

For the model of the agent, here http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=295845 .
For the stats of an agent, I think descr_agengs_ancillary?
Also needed would be the EDCT file.

    Hope that helps,

Also to note, theres already a maximum agent limit, so you would have to remove one first.

These are the ones that u need for certain:-
    • descr_character.txt
    • descr_model_strat.txt
    • descr_cursor_actions_classic.txt

    After that:

    1. EDA
    2. EDCT

to add new ancs and traits to them.

Make there might be more but hey its gives you a start isn't it.

Agents can be spawned into the game via the campaign_script using the spawn_character command. So something like this, firing off from an accepted historic event message:

    monitor_event EventCounter EventCounterType Wanttohirebob_accepted
    and I_EventCounter Wanttohirebob_accepted = 1
    spawn_character england bob, assassin, age 35, x 62, y 119
    end_monitor

I believe you can also specify a custom portrait and add traits on another line, as you would do for a general using the "spawn_army" command. The docudemons example has spawn_character Julii Foedus Chaerea, general, command 0, influence 0, management 0, subterfuge 0, age 20, x 54, y 124, though apparently this is a RTW example and the attributes aren't needed.

For what purpose would this new character be used? Because afaik the functions are hardcoded.

That was a part of my question, to what point are the functions of the agents hardcoded ?

Because I'd like to add new economical/strategical options for the player and I'd like to remove Inquisitors and Witchs that are not useful for what I want to do in my mod.

Removing\disabling characters should not be a problem. But the types of characters are hard coded. You couldn't create a character with trading and spying abilities for instance.

Caracters file ( list cost and atributes)has a along the top a list of what abilities they can perform, so you can take out siege from generals for instance, making them only able to siege if they have siege weapons that can breach the type of walls the settlement has, and even then they use a different battle ai not the fefault siege one.

Please elaborate - I was under the impression that function is needed to actually build the siege engines (ladders, rams, siege towers).

So it is impossible to create a new character type? That is what I got from this.
