Is it possible to make implement the border-less window feature in other mods?

Especially for mods like DLV and BC.

Any ideas?

Go to the .cfg file of the mod, open with notepad (Notepad++ prefered)
find the name of the .bat file of the mod (example, for DLV it is called Launch_DLV_ext , BC - bc_launch , SS 6.3 - launcher)

so write the .bat's name in [ ] brackets
example:
[launcher] / [Launch_DLV_ext] / [bc_launch]
and add
autoBorderlessMode = 1

Find the [video] section and copy/paste this
windowed = 1
borderless_window = 1

and you're good to go.

To make it borderless in windowed mode u can also double click the window bar on the top.

That makes no sense lol...
It has to do something with the default.cfg:

[launcher]
kingdomsDir=..\..
swapMenuBackground=true
swapMenuMusic=true
swapBAI=true
autoLocateLogFile=true
autoBorderlessMode=true
steamCheck=false
firstRun=false

but it doesn't work on other mods,
for example with BC I wrote:

[bc_launch] - name of the .bat file
autoBorderlessMode=true

and nothing happaned.

What makes no sense is actually adding a Stainless Steel launcher specific command to the bc launch bat or cfg. Its not going to work. Add the windowed = 1 line to the [video] section in the bc cfg and try above again.

It makes sense and that's the way i do it without any .cfg editing.

It worked with DLV, I also added the line to [video]
borderless_window=true

but it didn't work with BC, I think it's an issue with the vanilla(both SS and DLV are kingdoms mods).
^ It worked! I just noticed that the bc.cfg file had 2 [video], so I applied it to the 2nd one.

I hope that "That makes no sense lol..." didn't sound offensive ;D but clicking to the window bar just maximizes/minimizes the window

No it's not offensive but clicking the window bar for M2 maximizes it and removes the side borders of the window so that we can rotate the battle more effectively like in full screen mode.

Yeah, it removes the side bars but I can still see my taskbar (Start, other windows etc) so I use the borderless window.

autoBorderlessMode = 1

Auto borderless mode requires the same resolution on the desktop as ingame and the stainless steel launcher. For all other mods all thats needed is to add those lines in the respective cfg files.

Find the [videos] section
windowed = 1
borderless_window = 1

Those lines are enough. As I said autoBorderlessMode is stainless steel launcher specific.

Well in the setup for autoborderlessmode (desktop res same as game res) the method positions the borders outside of my screen - evidently it doesn't work for every case.

It speeds things up to at least write why it made no sense to you - we wouldn't give you advice if it didn't make sense to us
