I'm getting sporadic CTD during battles. First campaign was as Byz, now as Aragorn. Seems to happen more often with large battles, especially when reinforcements are involved. Happened numerous times at Constanople (sp?) fending off Jihads.

This one happened after the battle was over. I had a full stack, and the enemy had 2 3/4's stacks. This was a siege defense battle. I viewed the battle stats and clicked ok, and got a CTD. I had turned down the following before this battle as well:

Unit detail: changed from highest to high
Effects detai: changed from highest to high
texture quality: changed from high to medium
shadow quality: changed from high to medium

I deleted the phrase "prepare for battle " (it appears 2 times) from my campaign script and it seemed to help. G5's advice

Hmm... I only suggested deleting one instance (from ScrollOpened monitor), not having it at all could cause some bugged behaviour (like "thinking" there are reinforcements involved while they don't exist - I need to test it to be 100% sure). Generally if CA's coding is correct, deleting the line shouldn't have any influence.

    Regards
I have no memory of this place.

Thats right, you did only suggest removing one instance of "prepare for battle" , Only removing once instance still caused the same issues for me though.

I have not had any problems with the removal of the second after many batttles however, but I am not 100% sure if everything is working correctly. I hope that nothing is wrong in doing it, it has worked like a charm. That line has definetly been the culprit of my issues with end of battle CTDs.
