Isengard can be defeated within 26 turns Woo!

I say I would of done it 10 turns sooner but there was a invasion against my Captial forcing me to send most of my forces to Edoras. This is how i did it.

I first sent all of my generals and units towards Isengard. I then sieged it, while i was sieging it Ugluk came to help Saruman, but they both died in battle. Then after facing a large stack two turns later i was slowed down in my conquest to wipe out Isengard, but i still went ahead and captured two more of there towns to the west. And invasion happened making me pull back some of my forces and to spend most of my remaining money on defence. Some turns later i finaly managed to seige the new Isengard captial, killing there leader and making me wipe out Isengard on turn 26. So if it wasn't for the invasion uhmm i would of wiped out isengard a good few turns sooner than i did. This is cool for me, because ive never actually killed a faction so soon. Im playing on H/H

Its more fun if you let them build up and attack you, so that you're trying to hold of isen and invasion and while gondor crumbles, becomes quite hard. Nevertheless well done.

That's not surprising: full stacks outright teleport/spawn in near the target. There's no other way the armies are getting right next to Edoras from their start positions. Most would be hard-pressed to deal with one army, let alone four or five.

It's very good to do in all cases - helps Gondor a lot (Harad is harder for them than Mordor) and gives you craploads of cash from looting.

No, they don't. They walk there - and they walk slowly too - no enormous movement bonuses known from vanilla and SS. Have you ever played Rohan with FOW and "Follow AI movement"?

A friend of mine did it in 20 turns on VH/VH (he had the luck of having no invasion called so far though) - it's really not that difficult as Rohan has probably the best starting troops. If you unite them all you don't even have to produce much.

I think I did it in 13-16 turns once.

Gathered all my generals, though, massed them into an almost full cavalry army, Rhohirrim style, and steamrolled Isengard.

Yes. They don't walk. It's impossible for Harad to field a full foot army that passes all the way to Edoras in 2 turns, even with the Crusade bonus, but they're there in 2 turns. It would take at least 4-5 turns for a human to cross the same distance, not counting gathering the force in the first place. The same's true of Rhun-it's not possible for them to be there so soon, but they are.

They typically use stacks already fighting in Gondor - and it's not that far from there between Tarnost and Edoras.
