Barracks Upgrade

In my early era Khwarezmian campaign i noticed that if i upgrade the barraks building from Drill Square to Barraks i can't recruit Persian Spearmen anymore.
There is a reason behind this ?

not exactly sure but it is probably to represent the fact that as time went on persian spearmen were replaced by a better unit and were fazed out, or the traditions that created persian spearmen were lost/declined so past a certain point in time they were no longer used

I started a late era campaign and you might be correct. The Persian Spearmen are replaced with the Armored Spearmen but they require the heavy mail event.
I still think that the Persian should be recrutable until the event the unlock the Armored.

did you choose the disabled Real Recruitment? The disabled RR is bugged and doesn't work... so some units don't get recruited...

No RR is on. This is strange btw in one castle i can recruit the Persian Spearmen with the Barraks in another there aren't avaible for training.
Bug maybe ?

I take that each of the castle are equivalent as far as an Armourer?

I made some tests: (all the fortress had the same buildings + year 1152)
-in Konjikala, Damghan, Kerman i can recruit Persian Spearmen with Barraks
-in Mosul, Trebizond, Alamut i can't recruit Persian Spearmen with Barraks

I think it's due to AOR but i'm not sure.

If it's Khwarezmian unit, you should be able to recruit it anywhere, but if it's AOR unit, that's the problem

It's a Khwarezmian unit since i can recruit it with the Drill Square anywhere.

Maybe it's an AOR unit too since i can recruit it in the westermost settlements.
