I've noticed that the chance of marriage proposals in 6.3 is quite rare, and I'm having more than a few generals who are unmarried already in their 30's and 40's. Is there any way to increase the chance of marriage proposals?

I would say conquer more regions. IIRC its hardcoded ratio: number of generals : number of regions you have.

And don't adopt. Every adopted general takes away the place for a potential child. If you adopted plenty in the past without expanding at the same time - kill them.
If you keep turning down marriage proposals for a princess, you generals will never get offered wives. It's going to keep offering for the princess and ignore your generals until you accept someone.
The problem is, I have 33 regions at the moment, but I only have 16 generals. In other mods, I generally got one general for each region. Is this a normal experience for SS6.3?
I also have half a dozen women in the family tree, who aren't marrying anyone. Most of them ends their life without marrying, even though there's plenty of generals that are unmarried.
Is something wrong here?
Are you turning down their marriage proposals, or are they not getting any?
