    Default Education system not working in 6.3?

    Aside from making the wantseducation trait hidden, and that now it lasts 16 turns, what has changed in the education system? I ask because I have been unable to get any education traits despite leaving my characters in the proper settlements for years and years.

    So you can get a Standard Education if you have a university, and an Advanced Education if your general wants higher education (I.E., has the Scholar trait)

    Yes, but I should be able to get a military education in a castle, which is not happening.

    The education triggers and traits are practically the same as in 6.1, except that the wantsschool trait has been changed to have 16 threshold. Meaning, I think, that characters are now trainable for 15 turns instead of 5. I don't know if this has anything to do with it.

    BTW I don't know why the trait has been made hidden. I believed that education had been dropped entirely in SS 6.3 until one day navigating through my favorite file, export_descr_character_traits, I noticed that it was still there. True, the titles (junior, senior, sophomore etc) are not very medieval, but they were useful to know where you character stood. Right now a player has no way of knowing that he should try to educate his general. Change the titles, and leave them unhidden, says us.

    I agree with not being able to see where your character is kinda blows, is there anyways to change it where the freshman, senior, etc... is visable?

    Yes, just remove "Hidden" from the WantSchool entry in export_descr_character_traits.txt

    Yes : Add a ";" before the "Hidden" line in the "WantSchool" trait in export_descr_character_traits file.

    Personnally I made this trait 10 threshold instead of 16 and increased some triggers prob.
